Many
moms worry about low milk supply. As as a mother, they want to make
sure baby is getting enough breastmilk. It's a very valid
concern. Babies need plenty of breastmilk to thrive.
Low breastmilk supply happens for any number of reasons. Some common ones I have found are:
1. Lack of proper nutrition or rest
2. Not drinking plenty of fluids
3. Not breastfeeding enough
4. Bad latch
5. Anemia or undetected thyroid problem
6. To much exercise
And I am sure there are so many more I am not listing.
But what about the breastfeeding moms that doesn't have any of the problems mentioned before? In my case, I have low milk supply naturally.
If you are a breastfeeding mom with low milk supply, you will probably be asked "Why don't you think you are making enough breastmilk?" If you have already been told by a lactation consultant or medical professional that baby is not gaining weight, etc then you definitely want to increase low milk supply. Some moms breastfeed and/or pump constantly and still have low milk supply.
When you need to increase low milk supply, try the following;
Make sure to eat enough.
Drink plenty of water.
Get plenty of rest.
Take a vitamin.
Breastfeed and/or pump often
Consider herbal remedies that boost low milk supply. Many breastfeeding moms have had great results by simply drinking herbal teas made to boost low milk supply.
A great one to try is Breastea. Many breastfeeding moms have got great results by drinking it.
