Job Duties / Requirements

• Creating of templates, Graphix, Banners, Powerpoint, Trifolds, Brochures, etc
• Finding and Booking Conventions & Expos
• Working with outside vendors
• Create & Develop Marketing Tools to use at Expo’s, such as banners, literature, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Proficiency in:
• Basic HTML Skills
• Knowledge of FLASH, PHOTOSHOP, Corel Draw and Paint Shop Pro
• Creating and/or editing Power Point
• Graphics software such as
• Advanced Powerpoint & Excel Skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and maintain professional demeanor under pressure

The Web Junkie is a person who loves to build little web sites. They can create a slick look & feel and build the basic HTML pages to make it work. The Web Junkie does not have to be an application developer. The ideal Web Junkie can do the following:

• Design cool little web sites
• Follow the lead of a different designer if necessary
• Basic programming to make the site work
• Configure blogs, shopping cart software or basic analytics programs • Maintain sites at host
• Create designs for offline as well like business cards, brochures, etc

The ideal candidate is someone who likes to create brands and wants to spend the summer building a portfolio. The Web Junkie will have exposure to a variety of online marketing tactics such as well.

The company will be settling in Glencoe, IL, very near the Metra. However, the Web Junkie can work from home as well.

Just to be clear, we want Web Junkies, not actual Junkies…

The Company

My company does two things. 1) Business Creation Consulting (for lack of a better term) and Business Creation (also for lack of a better term). Both activities require quite a bit of web work. We are currently working on consulting projects in branding, ecommerce, publishing, software, and education - lots of things in the pipeline.

I am an IT consultant starting a new company and I need an identity. Maybe you can help?
This job would start with a fresh, modern logo that works well in color, b&w, and on different types of media. (even clothing)
Full color, front and back business cards would be next. (4by6.com satin finish)
Finally, a scalable web design built on current web standards.
I appreciate good design, usability, and typography!
Obviously, experience is great, but as long as you have talent, then I'd like to hear from you. Don't be shy, but please show examples of your work.
