What is going on with Ebay and the buyers?

I had several auctions to end last night and today. Yet, nobody has paid.

I've noticed since they changed the feedback system, people have gotten slower to pay. I've still got a few to pay asap (or at least I did), but it seems like many others simply wait for days to do it.

Now, I haven't had one person to pay!

When I win auctions, I pay within 24 hours. Many times, I pay same day. It's so irritating when someone bids on an auction and then waits a week to pay. Or doesn't pay at all. I still don't think it's fair that we can't leave bad feedback about this.

It seems like Ebay just doesn't care one way or another if someone pays or not. After all, they still get their money right? They don't refund the cost of the auction if someone doesn't pay for it. We can get a refund on the final value fee, but many times this is just a few cents (depending on how much it sold for).

So now, I am looking for alternatives to Ebay. An auction site that doesn't charge you so many fees that you are walking away without a profit. Is there anything like that out there?

I was stunned today to find out that sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers. How ridiculous is this?

I guess we can now say that feedback is unreliable on Ebay. Vindictive buyers can leave whatever type of feedback they want with no fear. From now on, I won't feel right judging a buyer by the feedback they receive. How can I know if it's 100% truthful?

I really am against this policy. There are many non-paying bidders on Ebay. Now we can't even tell the real truth on their feedback? Basically, buyers are going to get a pat on the back while sellers on Ebay suffer.

Ebay is just making it harder and harder for the sellers. We are already paying high fees without any guarantee of a sale or payment made. Now, we can't even tell the real story for bad buyers?

I'd love to hear other's thoughts on this. I feel it's another strike against Ebay.
