detail-oriented, self-motivated and prompt with meeting deadlines.
He/she must also be able to take constructive criticism and improve
upon his/her work immediately. He/she must also be able to adapt the
tone and language of synopses to respective audiences.

• Experience writing for movie-related content preferred
• Ability to manage a high-volume workflow
• A BA in English/Journalism or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to adapt to house style

This is a freelance position for 6 weeks, 40 hours per week. Payrate is $6 per episode.
Growing L.A.-based copywriting business seeks skilled, experienced freelance writer to draft and edit marketing materials for Hollywood entertainment clients. Projects include synopses, press releases, articles, production notes and bios.
Applicants must have a flair for language, impeccable grammar and be up on the latest movies and TV shows. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Fluency in Microsoft Word--and a computer with Internet access and email--is required.
This is a freelance situation with no guaranteed hours or benefits; workload will vary. Pay is $20-$35 per hour depending on writing skill and speed. Hours are flexible, although some availability during business hours is necessary. Writer will work independently, at home, and submit work in Word format via email.
To apply, submit *only* the following in the body of an email (no attachments, please): An original one-paragraph marketing synopsis--similar to what you might find on the back of a DVD box--of one of the following recent movies: "Juno," "No Country for Old Men," "The Darjeeling Limited," "The Simpsons Movie," "The Bourne Ultimatum." The synopsis should entice viewers to watch the film by highlighting its strong points--and not give away the ending.
We will contact you based on the strength of your synopsis. Queries without synopses or containing additional material will not be considered. Plagiarizers will be summarily executed.
