Homeschooling is a tough job, but it's well worth it. I can see a difference in my son's personality since I have homeschooled him this year. He is currently in first grade. We use a combination of curriculums to complete his first grade lessons. We are a thrifty family, and we have to use affordable resources. On the internet, there are a wealth of places to find worksheets to print out. And they are free. But the worksheets alone won't complete the job.
Children need diversity to learn. And my son loves to play on the computer. So we also use Time4learning.com. Time4learning.com offers first grade activities that children really love. It's only $19.95 per month. The curriculum is very solid, and I have seen that many, many people love their programs.
With their curriculum, it's like having an extra teacher or two to help you out. The curriculum really teaches your child in a fun way. It's very easy to understand and requires interaction from your child. For example, in Language Arts my son is currently learning about sounds/letter combinations such as sh, ch, etc. And he has picked up a lot of words. It's helped him so much with his reading skills.
When you register, you select your child's grade. The great thing about the program is that it can be adjusted. For example, if your child needs more advanced lessons. As a parent, you can login and see the progress your child has made. You can also review their grades. Kids find it easy to use. They have their own login, and the program shows them where they left off. They can just pick right back up again.
Parents have a separate login from the kids. Under the parent section, there is all kinds of information including teaching guides and worksheets. There is also a section called hints that helps you to use the system. It's very easy to use.
Using an online homeschooling curriculum like time4learning.com
really adds to the whole homeschooling experience. It gives it a
variety. Beyond that, it really educates your child. I think anyone
that tries it is going to love it!
So my oldest son has been using a wonderful online program for homeschooling called time4learning.com. I've been really impressed with his progress and how much he is learning. I'm especially pleased with their language arts program.
Now that my youngest is almost a preschooler, I believe I am going to start him on their Pre-K program in the next few months. He loves getting on my computer, and I'm pretty sure he thinks he's mastered the art of using the computer.
We've watched my oldest son doing his lessons on the computer, and my youngest has found it very entertaining.
I've checked out their preschool sample lessons, and I believe they are great for preschoolers. The lessons are very entertaining to children. They are multimedia lessons with characters and sound. To an adult, we look at it as preschool educational games, but to a child it's just fun and games. They don't realize how much they are learning, especially at 3 or 4 years old.
You can really see a difference after just a month of using this program. With technology being as it is, I think that it's a good idea to do some of your preschool learning on the computer. Their language arts and math curriculums are really good.
For my oldest son, I only pay $19.95 per month. To enroll a second
child is only an additional $14.95 per month. Considering what all you
get, this is a really great deal.
Breastfeeding is an amazing art in itself. I think a lot of us take for granted how truly amazing it is. Breastfeeding is a God-given right to nurture your child. He created women in a way that they can carry children and produce milk for their needs as well. It's absolutely amazing.
Breastfeeding is not a piece of cake, but it's worth every moment. God created breastmilk as the perfect nutrition for humans in their new state of life. Despite years of research, scientists cannot make any formula anywhere close to the benefits contained in breastmilk. But what human could ever make something better then God.
God must have wanted us to breastfeed, or he would never have made us capable of producing breastmilk. It has so many amazing benefits to it.
It helps to keep baby from getting constipated. It boosts baby's immune system. It's easier to digest. It provides just the right amount of calories and nutrition so baby is growing in the way we are intended too. Breastfeed babies have higher IQ's than formula fed babies. Not to mention, breastfeeding is a wonderful time for you to just sit down, hold your child, and be thankful for the wonderful gift you have received.
Breastfeeding can have its up and downs. A big complaint of breastfeeding moms is worrying about low milk supply. Most moms don't have any problems at all. If you are experiencing low milk supply, try something herbal like Breastea. Make sure you are breastfeeding as much as possible and that baby is getting a good latch on the breast. For most moms experiencing low milk supply, they find herbal products really help.
If at all possible, try to breastfeed your child. It's a memory you will carry for a lifetime.
My son is currently in the first grade, and he is a homeschooled child.
Most of his 1st grade curriculum is covered on time4learning.com. By using their multimedia lessons, he covers language arts, math, science, and social studies. The lessons are a lot of fun for him. They are extremely creative and interactive. One of the lessons has a drill srg teaching him phonics and words. It really grabs his attention.
For only $19.95 per month, he is getting his first grade curriculum. They have progress reports, teaching guides, and more as well. I feel more secure with a third-party providing his first grade lesson plans.
More than anything, I love the fact that he is so happy to get online and learn. We do other things to supplement his homeschooling program, but overall it's covered there on the website.
They offer free lessons
as well. If you are a homeschooling parent, you should swing by there
and check them out. They offer homeschooling curriculums for Preschool
through 8th grade. If you have more than one child, it's only an
additional $14.95 per month. Once you get over there and check out
their demo lessons, you will see why I love time4learning.com!
